Thank you, friends. Sincerely.
If you’re new here, welcome. Thank you for subscribing, whether free or paid. It all means the world to me that you choose to let me into your world.
I am a working writer. I write every week at ChurchProduction.com, and I just found out that I’ll be working with The Roys Report, at least for a short time. But if I’m honest with you, as thankful as I am for those outlets, this is where I want to write most of the time. I’m slowly trying to find my people, the people that need what I have to offer. That’s my goal because there are writers who have (or had) what I need and I want to pass on that kindness to whoever else I can. And perhaps this is hubris, but I have to believe someone needs my words otherwise this is mostly just me writing to myself. As much as I rely on Eugene Peterson’s admonition to write because there’s fire in my bones, whether anyone will read it or not, I am also convinced that someone needs this.
That being said, this isn’t a blog, at least not a typical one.
I’ve been looking at the Holy for a long time, just like the seraphim gathered around the throne, and I’m writing about what I see and how I feel I should live with what I’ve seen. Sometimes that looks like cultural commentary, sometimes that’s an essay, sometimes that’s a short meditation, and sometimes that’s a poem.
Soon, it will be a book.
I’m collecting some of my best writings from here and adding a couple of unpublished and newly written items into a book that will be available for purchase. It will take some time; self-publishing is honestly kind of a pain, and I want it to be really good. It will be available for Kindle and other e-readers, and I’m trying to find a way to send out paper copies as well.
I’ll update when the process is near completion, hopefully just after the new year.
In the meantime, I want to grow this little corner of the internet organically, so if you know someone who would be helped by what I have to say, please send them something. I can share and market until I’m blue in the face, but nothing beats the personal recommendation of a friend. Share from Instagram, from Facebook, or from here. Whatever works for you.
